My Updated Shoe Collection

A few years ago, I did a YouTube video featuring my shoe collection. It was so long ago that I decided to do an updated version.
It was really fun but tiring to shoot due to the hours of awkward pose positions lol!

Here are some stills from the video...

I've had these red shoes from ebay for a while and I still get a great reception every time I wear them. Despite the fact that they are extremely uncomfortable!

When I saw these shoes in Schuh, I could hardly contain my excitement!! THEN when I found out they were on sale for £14, I nearly keeled over!
The sequin detail took some getting used to, but the stack block platform heel and sole- more than made up for it!!

The chunky heels above are from New Look are so comfy. They remind me of summer.
They're simple but the colour adds a touch of stand out vibrance.

I gave details on these bad boys in a previous post about DiY Shoes

Check my previous post DIY Studded Shoes for more info about these shoes

These gladiator heels from NewLook have just the right amount of Rock chick edge

These denim shoes by Jeffrey Campbell are just beautiful! I love the spike detail and banana heel.

Check out the video for a more detailed look at the shoes and to listen to my upcoming single!

Fashion Fix: Red Alert!

For my channel relaunch debut, I wanted to start off a little... softly softly. So I kept the outfit kind of simple with this vintage red shirt and (tiny) zara skirt which was previously unworn...
During the editing process however, I wanted a way to liven up an otherwise tame looking video. So I opted for this tribal inspired pattern theme. I created the shapes in photoshop and for me it achieved the desired effect.

Shirt, Vintage
Skirt, Zara
Belt, River Island
Necklace, Primark
Boots, eBay
Hair, Eva's Wigs

The fabulous hair featured in the video is from Eva's wigs. Click here for an in depth review.

It took a while to edit this video...
Have a look and tell me what you think!xx

I received some hair from Eva's wigs, which is featured in my fashion video Red Alert which will be live on my youtube channel and this blog, shortly.
This is a style I have wanted to try for the longest time- a side part with curly long hair and I'm really happy I've finally got it!

I did take some photos of the packaging and contents of the box but they seem to have gone missing but the hair came boxed with hair stockings and bobby pins.

The first thing I realised after trying it on, was that the medium density I had selected, was not enough (for me) so I had to add some wefts to the back to add fullness.
I also found the baby hairs to be a bit too long and slightly thick for me. I would probably opt for no baby hairs next time.

The good thing is you can get a wig tailored to your personal preferences. By simply clicking the drop down options, you can select your choice.

The hair came in a sort of body wave. For my Fashion Fix video, I used my Remington Pearl curling wand to acheive tighter curls. However, these curls did not last and dropped within hours to return to the soft waves.
There was no severe tangling, I didn't have to worry about brushing it every second but there was slight tangling at the back on occasion.

The customer service is great! I corresponded a woman called Karen who was always courteous and very prompt to respond.

Pros: texture is nice and smooth
The style and shape is well done
         Very good customer service

Cons: Does not hold tight curls
           Slight Tangling

I wear this hair very often and while I wouldn't say that this is the finest quality Virgin hair I ever tried., the hair does have a very nice lustre.
I also like the fact that there is minimal lace at the front, so you can still see how the style suits you before committing to cut, and making it nonrefundable.

If you take care of this wig, I'm sure you would end up with a wig that would last you.
I hope this post has been helpful! If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.xx

Project 104

Project 104 is a brand I discovered during a press day at Utter Couture.
As soon as I walked into the room, it was the first collection I noticed.
I was immediately captivated by the kitsch designs and felt the nostalgic nod to my childhood. A throwback to those girlie swimming costumes I used to pine for; A cross between an oufit fit for Barbie and Baz Luhrmanns 1996 hit movie Romeo and Juliet.

My intrigue increased when I found out that the whole collection is limited edition.
The name 'Project 104' comes from the fact that the company produce only 104 pieces of each item. So you feel like you are wearing a piece of collectable art.

The fusion of art and fashion is evident throughout all the collections. I decided to produce my own piece of art work based on one of my favourite pieces called 'Loverpool' from the Paradise Found collection.

Here is Project 104's own description of the Loverpool swim suit;
Based on tacky tourist T-shirts from fictitious destinations
Project 104's Paradise Found collection is proud to invite you to:

LOVERPOOL

Travel package seven night stay at gangstas habit dice resort

Including:
Visit to the Baby Butterfly Sanctury
Waterfall rafting through Loverpool rainforest
Rejuvenation at the Lemonade Lakes

Below is the new Collection My Body, My Shrine.

Hey Lovelies!

So my sisters Rachiannah and Gwyneth have started a Hair company called PoP HA!R Culture.
As the new Creative director, my role is to create the visual branding and this image is one of many photos I took for them on our shoot a few days ago.

The whole theme is vibrant and captures their personalities so well, I'm really happy with it!
I will post more images when they are done but I couldn't resist giving you guys a little sneak peek!

DIY Shoe #2 Spikes

Following on from my previous post, here are another pair of shoes I embellished. I bought these shoes from Nine West quite a few years ago. I really liked the heel but I wasn't so keen on the front and had been meaning to do something different to them. So I decided to add spikes to add extra detail.

I marked where I would place the studs using a blue eye pencil. And then used a belt hole puncher to create all of the holes for the spikes to go through.

It was quite consuming but definitely worth it, as I'm really happy with the results.

DIY Shoes!

(Still from upcoming video)

I just love unusual shoes. If I have a pair that I find a little on the plain side, sometimes I will customize them to make them a little different.
I bought these shoes on eBay and they're very simple and nice but I wanted to vamp them up a bit to go with an outfit I was wearing for my birthday celebration a while back. I may repurchase these and keep that pair plain because the style is so classic.

I added some extra dazzle by stitching some old accessories to the heel.

The ankle boots below are the first pair of footwear I ever customised.

For more ideas, here's a video I shot a few years ago on how to transform your shoes...

Casual Outfit of the Day

A really simple outfit I wore yesterday.
Wearing jeans and a (heavily shoulder padded) leather jacket made me feel so 80's! I loved it
